Ophelia

Review of Ophelia

  • Ophelia by Lisa Klein is the story of Hamlet from Ophelia's perceptive. Ophelia is beautiful, powerful, sorrowful, and revengeful. The story paints a new picture of the characters in Hamlet. In Klein's version, Ophelia and Hamlet are madly in love. Ophelia and Hamlet get married and everything seems great. Until Hamlet learns who killed his father. Ophelia doubts her life decisions when a certain darkness takes over Hamlet and the castle. After Hamlet denies their marriage due to his revengeful actions, Ophelia runs away. Ophelia now with child finds a nunnery to take her in. Finally, after time has passed Horatio finds Ophelia. The tale ends with Horatio and Ophelia falling in love. Ophelia is perfect for any reader who enjoys action, suspense, and romance. I give Ophelia a 4.2 out of 5 stars.
